Adico Care

When a home care provider comes to you with a website that doesn’t reflect the quality of service they deliver, you know there’s an opportunity to make a real difference. That was exactly the situation with Adico Care, a Hertfordshire-based home care company offering everything from live-in care and personal care through to companionship and medication management.

The brief

Adico Care needed a website that better represented who they are and what they do. Specifically, they needed to:

  • Create a more professional and trustworthy look and feel
  • Give their services the space they deserved, with dedicated pages for each one
  • Replace stock imagery with real photos of their staff to feel more authentic
  • Build in social proof through testimonials and case studies to give prospective clients the confidence to get in touch

What I did

The care sector is one where trust is everything. People aren’t just buying a product; they’re inviting someone into their home or making a decision about the care of a loved one. The old site simply wasn’t doing enough to convey the professionalism and warmth that Adico Care actually deliver day in, day out.

The first thing I tackled was the overall design. The previous site looked dated and didn’t give visitors much confidence. The updated design is cleaner, calmer and more considered, the kind of site that immediately puts you at ease, which is exactly the feeling you want when someone is researching care options for themselves or a family member.

One of the most impactful changes was swapping out generic stock photography for real images of Adico Care’s own staff. It sounds simple, but it makes an enormous difference. When you can see the actual people who might be coming to your door, it builds an immediate sense of familiarity and trust that no stock photo library can replicate.

I also completely reworked the sitemap. Previously, the services Adico Care offer weren’t given nearly enough room to breathe. Now, each service, from live-in care to assisting with leisure pursuits, has its own dedicated page explaining what it involves and how it can help. This not only helps prospective clients understand exactly what’s on offer, but it also does a lot of good things for search visibility too.

Building trust through social proof

In an industry where reputation matters more than almost anything else, I made sure testimonials and case studies were woven properly into the site. Adico Care have genuinely glowing feedback from their clients, people who have been with them since 2018, families grateful for the care their parents received, and individuals who speak about their carers as though they’re friends. That kind of feedback is gold, and it deserves to be front and centre rather than buried.

Having this social proof visible and prominent means that a visitor who arrives with questions leaves with confidence.
