Buzzstock is a music festival in Leighton Buzzard. I was tasked with creating a site that captured the incredible atmosphere and made information easily accessible.

Infusing Fun with Visuals

A music festival is a fun-filled experience and the website needed to reflect that.  Therefore I made good use of video and images from the festival itself in order to convey the amazing time attendees were going to have at the festival. I made sure to utilise a video from a previous festival showing the audience dancing and enjoying the music to give the user an impression of what to expect if they buy tickets to the event.  The colour palette echoed the festival’s branding, further immersing users in the lively atmosphere.

Simplicity is key

It’s essential that navigating a website should be easy. To do this I created a clean, user-friendly layout. Key information was readily available through a clear menu structure, ensuring visitors didn’t get lost in the excitement. The lineup, a crucial draw for any music festival, was prominently displayed, FAQs were added that addressed common concerns, while “Buy Tickets” buttons, were strategically placed and visually distinct to guide users seamlessly through the purchase process.

Building buzz with email marketing

Anticipation is half the fun! Strategically placed newsletter sign-up forms, integrated into the website encouraged visitors to join the Buzzstock community. This invaluable mailing list empowered the client to directly target potential attendees with updates, artist announcements, and – crucially – ticket on-sale alerts.
